We plan on getting the rav4 prime this summer
Are they going to increase production of the rav4 prime? Those things seem to be impossible to find right now. My elderly parents are wanting a Rav4 and would prefer the Prime and have been trying to get one since August. Seems like if you don't live in California you can't get them.

There are several in the VA/MD area, at least 20-25 in the last month. I was tempted to get one before new year, but financially wanting to save more and pay more cash.

that said, by mid-late summer I believe the 2022's should be rolling out.

The tax credit is all well and good IF you have that kind of tax liability. Lots of people won't. I'm retired, don't have any tax liability so the tax credit would not do anything for me.

My friends just got their RAV 4 Prime yesterday (went over and drove it around the block). They payed MSRP, and they had to shop around to get one at JUST MSRP (and not above). This is in Virginia BTW (the dealer was in Maryland).

Nope my retirement and social security are not taxable so the tax credit means nothing to me unfortunately. Decided to go with the 3.0 TD instead for less $$ and potentially less problems with this new technology.

Wouldn't the Diesel cost more with the same options? The engine is a $4500 option.

Will cost less if you were not planning to get the LED, 8.4 etc..

I just ordered a diesel and it was a $4000 option not a $4500 option.

It appears his income isn't taxed enough to get the credit so the diesel isn't that much more.
