That explains the difference in weight between your Rubicon and what others that have reported. The steel bumpers are a hefty option.

Did the cop weigh your vehicle?
yes, was pulling a trailer that put the truck over by a few hundred pounds. He used the vehicle registration to go off of. The dmv use the lowest rating when it was registered. Truck was rated to pull more, but in my state you pay more for higher gvw.

Weighed my JL Diesel Unlimited Sport today. 4860 with Rubicon tire and wheel takeoffs 285/70 x 17 KO2s. All 5 tires probably add 85+/-lbs over stock. ThisJL also includes the Rock Jock towbar plate (maybe 50 lbs) and the hardtop. Fuel just over 3/4 full.

Resurrecting an old thread. Just weighed my JLURD with me in it, so subtract 220 fir jist the jeep. This is with a Gobi rack, rock slide engineering step sliders, Warn winch, hardtop, Factory steel bumpers minus the front bumper ends, 35 inch tires on stock Rubicon wheels with wheel spacers, KC pro6 light bar and 2 driving lights, my usual trail tools and air compressor, and a Clayton Offroad 2 1/2 in diesel Overland lift. 6000 lbs..

Well my 2019 JLR with the 2.0 mild hybrid weighs 5340lbs with a full tank of fuel and no one onboard!

Holy balls that is hefty. If that is all you had and no extra gear on board, I hate to see what some of these "overlanders" are running weight wise.

My quick math...

Gobi Rack: 90lbs
Warn Winch: 75lbs
Winch Plate: 35lbs
Lights & Bar: 25lbs
Tools: 50lbs
Compressor: 15lbs
Tires: 75lbs
Suspension: 40lbs

So if those weights are anywhere near to close you have added 280lbs of weight...add your 220 and you are at 500lbs. That should be 300lbs below cargo weight capacity. Yet you are 40lbs over GAWR on the front and only 20lbs under on the rear and you are 120lbs over GVWR. Either my numbers are way off or there is more weight hiding in there some place.

My take away from my JLURD is how easy it is to go way over GVWR. Add 325lbs for wife and a couple kids, (6545), a cooler / frig and some camping gear...say 100lbs (6645), rotopax fuel and water 45lbs (6690), and a change of clothes or two for everyone, 20lbs (6710) and the vehicle is 610lbs over GVWR for a pretty basic take the family out to the mountains trip.
