Actually, I've seen that a lot in Africa. Plenty of air gets in there. If you do, you will choke your engine, simple physics.

Definitely not as efficient, but I’ve seen people doing it.If you do, you will choke your engine, simple physics.
Bump. I'd like to know as well.Anyone know if the genesis dual battery works with this snorkel yet?
Let us know how that looks with pictures please. I’m looking at the rear one.Nice looking snorkel. rugged ridge is making some good looking stuff. Have you guys seen their recent arcus bumper? it is light and looks really nice. I couldnt resist lol. Ordered one 2 days ago
How about these? Can someone please post a good picture of under the hood horizontal pipe that runs along the fender. I have a extra fuse box attached on top of the original fuse box and thinking to install another control box that attaches between battery and fender in the empty space there. Need to see how much space the pipe takes. Thanks.
Perfect angles. Thanks a lot. Looks like there is still room for extra controller boxes, etc.How about these?
Sorry it’s dark, I’m watching football, drinking a margarita and ordering Jeep pats, so....
I will say it does press against the hood some but nothing concerning to me. I have a single wire for my sub fuse on my fuse box.
I’ve always wondered how the alternator will fare with sustained submersion. I’ve had my 3.0 briefly pushing a bow wave over the hood despite an extra 5.5” off the ground, with no issues, but sustained depths have only been in the 36” range which is well clear of the alternator.Testing it a bit today. Not that deep but better to have it and don’t need it than to not have it and need it
Any MPG difference you've noticed over the time you've had it? Or any other observations?Testing it a bit today. Not that deep but better to have it and don’t need it than to not have it and need it
Not really, you do hear the sound of the intake a bit more, but only a little bit, nothing major. I ended up installing it more as an insurance since we have a lot of water here in Florida lolAny MPG difference you've noticed over the time you've had it? Or any other observations?
Ok thanks - yeah I was also wondering if wind noise could be an issue - say with windows rolled down and at certain speeds maybe there's more noise, or whistling etc...J
