I had the exact same tab on my DPF break several weeks ago. I crawled under and found the broken tab vibrating back and forth. And the dealership has fixed my jeep up!
Here is what they say was the issue.
Thanks for playing along at home folks. Cheers.
Hang on to the old one...you will either need it if you keep the rig over 100k miles or can make a pile of money on it earlier.I had the exact same tab on my DPF break several weeks ago. I crawled under and found the broken tab vibrating back and forth.
My local dealer also re welded it, no issue since. They ordered me a brand new DPF which just arrived a couple days ago.
not rod knock just my opinion...sound like more something too do with the exhaust system.

That is my plan. I’m wondering if they won’t let me keep it since it’s warranty work. We’ll see.Hang on to the old one...you will either need it if you keep the rig over 100k miles or can make a pile of money on it earlier.

Same!Edit: Mine only makes noise when fully warmed up
Weird, Since they welded that for me.Dealer said they can't weld it back and have to order a new one. Of course it's on backorder.
First service advisor said we don't have a welder but I'm not your service advisor so let me grab them. Then my service advisor said they don't want the liability.Same!
