I know when you only have the 7” UConnect 4 that you don’t get the off road pages, but are they still available in the 7” instrument cluster?? I’ve looked everywhere for a clear answer and can’t find one.

Them Off-road Pages barely work with the 8.4”.

Information randomly appears and disappears from the Off-Road Pages screen. The same is true of the Off-Road Pages icon on the Apps subpage; half the time is not even there.

Yes. Everything relevant shown on the Off-Road Pages is available through the instrument cluster.

Thanks.
It’s strange that they would tout the off-road pages as a reason to get the 8.4 when you get them regardless.

The entire “Off-road Pages” thing is just a gimmick.

I tried to use the app a few times on the trail but, for no apparent reason it disappears from the screen half the time.

FCA needs to decide: if it is going to make an “app” available, then make it available. Instead, it makes a big deal about it in its marketing, but the app works only intermittently.

When you ask around, people simply shrug it off: “yeah, that’s just how it is.”

I don’t bother with it any more.

I do like to be able to see all the guages on on screen. But honestly, I don't use it much. I keep the inclinometer on the guage vlust and the map on the 8.4 screen when I'm off road most of the time. I really wish Gaia or an equivalent was available for Android Auto. I'm not going back to an iPhone after many years of Android for Gaia though.

I have an Android and LOVE Gaia. I found a newer iPhone a friend was discarding and loaded it up for when we're off the pavement, otherwise it's android auto.

I'm with ya!! I wish Google or whoever it is , would release third party access to mapping. Prolly never gonna happen though.

Gaia really kicks ass!!

Is the GAIA available on apple devices different than the GAIA GPS app available for android devices?

I'm not sure of the differences other than Apple Carplay is supported, but Android Auto is not.

Gaia on Apple and Gaia on android is nearly the same, just a few small differences but you can plug in an iPhone to the large infotainment on the Jeep and have amazing topo maps and all the features of Gaia.

Now if Android would get with the program, I wouldn't have to have an old iPhone in the glove box...It's not even a phone, I have the SIM card pulled and just use it for navigation.

I've never had a problem with it when I use it. It takes a while to not up but works fine.
