Looking good - like that it comes with upgraded underpinnings as well as suspension and hardtop...

I always thought this was very easily done since they have been making this engine for the Cherokee. It was a $4,600 upgrade for the 6.4L and currently a $3,400 upgrade for the 5.7L so I'd expect the same.
Sounds like there are other upgrades besides the engine

Right but just the engine portion itself shouldn't be too drastic of a price shock. I'd be great if they offer it in a Sahara or Rubicon as an option for $4,600. I feel aside from the 392 model, other models can get it as well.

Since some of the info is already out there, I'll say this - This isn't going to be an engine-only upgrade. This is going to be a Rubicon only model that has just about every available Rubicon option group as standard equipment in the price, including color-matched fenders and hardtop.

To all those that say take my money..........FCA may very well take a VERY LARGE chunk of money. Who wants to start a poll guessing the starting amount. Guessing 75k base.

From the USATodaySun article linked above:

“Pricing for the Rubicon 392 will be announced closer to when it goes on sale early next year, but it comes standard with 17-inch beadlock capable wheels, leather upholstery, a body-color hardtop and fender flares, adaptive cruise control and other options that would push the price of a V6-powered Rubicon over $55,000.”

This paragraph is a bit of a downer.

Any word on being available in Mojave trim once it is launched in the JL?

I really, really hope this isn’t a one-year-only thing. I need one but don’t want to buy one next year. But I will if I have to. 39 years without a V8 is long enough to wait

Agree ^^^

it’s the Recon of 2021. Load it up with standard options and only offer one year. Hopefully not...
