What year is your rig?No bubbles here. Could it have something to do with mfg year or color?
My JLU is 2019. Color is granet. What year is your rig?
So far I’ve seen someone report it on every model year. (Unfortunately) and I’ve seen most colors...
it’a mostly hinges (galvanic corrosion) but it has happened to the lips of doors and hoods for others which sucks even more!
this is a friendly club. Justnot one you WANT to be a part of
it’s wife’s spread enough that there’s a TSB out for it
Mines also a 2019. At the moment I have it on one hinge, not as bad as some others I’ve seen. And it seems to be occurring on another hinge (maybe) it’s hard to tell...but I’ll know for sure in the coming weeks .My JLU is 2019. Color is granet.
"Lucky Bastard" club might not be so lucky actually. Due to the chemical base of the problem, almost everyone will encounter this issue at some point. The current "Lucky Bastards" will potentially be outside of the 5yr/60k mi warranty on the paint when the issue occurs, and knowing FCA they will be SOL and have to foot the billMines also a 2019. Mine was built in April 2019.
And first showed up this past June.
so a little over a year before it began to occur. I know cuz I’ve checked my hinges since last winter when I came across the bubbling paint thread.
looks like you are also in the “lucky bastard” category.
congrats!
I see your point! You make a good argument..."Lucky Bastard" club might not be so lucky actually. Due to the chemical base of the problem, almost everyone will encounter this issue at some point.
