I haven't read all 116 pages of this thread, but is there an updated version of the TSB besides the one posted on the very first post? I thought I read somewhere there was a revision made to the original TSB.

I think there are 2 revisions. The 3rd one I believe includes the Diesel from what I remember.

I just picked my Jeep up yesterday evening after the dealership replaced the steering box. It honestly drives much better now. I know I’ve seen it mentioned before about people’s radio presets being reset afterwards. Mine were not. Is it possible that they didn’t update to the new software that goes along with the new box? Thanks guys!
my radio presets didn't get reset... and I know they did the software update.

That's what I thought. Any idea where they are at or is the TSB that's posted in the Issues thread sticky already been updated?

Here is REV B. supposedly REV C. only references Diesel.

So if we had the TSB done already...do we now need a software update?

I have a 2020 and this is my first Wrangler. The steering has some play and doesn't re-center itself but not at a level that makes me feel unsafe or I can't drive.

Is it worth having the steering box replaced since I plan on owning it for a long time and if the new one is an improvement? Besides bad workmanship - any concerns doing it?
I originally thought my steering was fine. I thought maybe I was one of the lucky one's that had "perfect" steering. When I received the steering damper recall last year, I hesitant to have the damper replaced in fear it would mess up my steering. Damper was replaced with no change in steering feel or steering performance.

As soon as I found out about this new cast iron box being used on all new 2021 models, I knew something had to be wrong with the aluminum box, so replacing aluminum box with the cast iron box would only make my Jeep better. Dealer inspected my Jeep, with lift and larger tires/wheels, and approved steering box replacement per TSB. Took about 3 weeks for parts to arrive. They even provided a free loaner car (2020 Dodge Challenger) when service was performed.

What an amazing difference. my "perfect" steering feels much better. This TSB worked in my favor. I glad I had it done.

That's what I was looking for! I knew I had seen it somewhere before.

Anywhere to find the limits for the alignment specs?
