So last winter me and the guys at our dealership found that the new style hood latches jammed up pretty good with snow and ice. That said I do love the new Wrangler. It was just really tricky to get the chunks of ice out of the new latches. Anyone else had any similar issues? If so, any easy fixes or sugestions.

Thanks for all positive feedback:):)

I know spraying silicone spray on snow shoes helps with preventing ice balls forming on them. Maybe it would help with this too?

Great suggestion, Might try wiping down the top sheet of the snowboard this winter with silicone spray:like:!

another plug for a MOPAR or BOLT hood locks I suppose...just disconnect the latches all together in the colder months if running this hood locking gear....

Hmm, I've not noticed this complaint with my latches through the 1.5 winters since purchase. Are you speaking of the same latch I have shown in my picture below:

Yes them are the ones. I am guessing that is has to do with the vehicle sitting still with thaw and freeze, thaw and freeze?
