To update on my plan I posted previously in this thread (with the ARB awning brackets) - they fit. I mounted them "upside down" to keep the awning low so I could still get in my garage and parking garages in the city. Really happy with how this turned out and really like the rack so far.

I know! Well - I won't be mounting a RTT (as of right now). I'm thinking about that new GFC wedge in the future. As of right now I attach my ARB awning room and that's my tent. It's primitive but its works.

Awesome. My FSR Adventure 55 tent arrives tomorrow and I'm stoked! Headed to the way north of the UP this weekend so I'll post some pics if it with the dee zee hex rack also.

Using the Deezee rack here.... so far so good. Have used it 3 times no problems. By no problems I mean with 2 people in the tent weighing less than 400lbs between us... the roof didn’t cave. Other observations are that I’ve noticed it’s probably going to leave a mark at each of the points that sit on the hardtop. Not a big deal to me.... what observations have you guys made? What weight did you manage to hold on this rack?

Installed my FSR GS 55 today in the dee zee hex rack. I used 3 bars across the rails and used 4 gutter clamps. Super secure and stable with the 6 feet on the top. I took the front portion off as I didn't need it and I can still take the freedom panels off easily.

Awesome, thank you for posting these photos. I have your Sarge Green Rubi's twin. I also have a FSR M60 RTT. And I've been watching this thread to see if this is the rack I should get for my setup. I do believe you just confirmed it for me!

It seems solid so far. This weekend will be about 800 mile road trip with some rough forest roads. I'll report back if I have any issues. At 124 pounds I lifted the tent up there myself and it really doesn't effect driving.

@VS2000 Well it was a 1000 mile weekend with some rough, rocky, and muddy forest service roads. The dee zee rack held up just fine. My only issue is after a day of driving in the rough areas the feet would back off and I would have to snug them back against the roof. A little blue loctite will fix that. If anyone is familiar with High Rock Bay Road you know I tested the setup well. Also, it was easier to just remove the entire rack and tent together with my top lift. Cheers!

Very good information, thank you. Also, I like how you've mounted the rack to the RTT and just unhook the rack when you want it off. I bet that's a lot less hassle than trying to unmount the RTT.

Looking to get a rack and the DeeZee is at the top of my list, I don't want to drill the roof and might possibly get a roof top tent in the future. Now that some of you have had this rack for a while, any comments, complaints?

How do accessory mounts work? Are certain brands mounts compatible or are you replacing the hardware with M8 Bolts? Anyone have a set up utilizing some of these mounts that you could post? (Rotopax, MaxTrax, shovel, or even some side or rear lights). Thanks
