im still running the system i have had no issues with it. its sturdy i dont really even notice it on the jeep im so used to it. only cons i can think of is the price and you just have to be carefull not to catch it on a branch or if going thru a tight area where the jeep leans you might hit it. but so far i have not had that issue i have come close
Thank you for this. I appreciate it.

one follow-on question:

I assume that you have also taken these mounts down the freeway at 70+ with loaded containers. Was the rack solid, no issues?

I am a bit concerned about the lower mounts And how they “attach“. Seems like you have had no issues though. Correct?

Sorry to beat an old thread..... but NAS Adventure Caddie is in pre production. Relocates 3rd brake light, camera and license plate and attaches with two bolts using a mounting plate sandwiched between the tire carrier and wheel.

Is there a website for this yet? Did a search but didn’t find anything.

will this allow for multiple rotopax stacked with the extension mount? Hoping to run 2 on each side. This is the best one I've seen for what I plan to use.

In the configuration you see it now, theoretically yes.. however there have been design updates since which would not allow for that. That being said, 4 2-gallon rotopax on the back is too much for the stock tailgate to handle and I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an aftermarket tire carrier.

You can follow the design post for all updated features as well, if you'd like:

Curious... what is your $3 setup? I wish to do a trip this summer, but do not require a permanent mount - just the ability to fill a peace-of-mind rotopax if going offroad longer than normal, and have somewhere to put it outside the vehicle on those rare occasions.

Thar she blows.
Very simple setup knockout from electric box, some bolts and stuff and some angle iron, just had layin around.
Put a lock and jazz just to deter if stolen I really don't care as I got two for $30 total

Thanks for the pics!

I didn't realize you had a handy mesh trailer to bolt something to. I must come up with something for the stock vehicle. I like a lot of the ideas here... just not sure I will need that extra fuel very much for my foreseeable usage (sadly, that equates to not getting out much).

Cheers!
