I've had 37s with the 6 speed for 2 years and 21,000 miles. Initially thought I'd regear right away but still haven't done it. Probably will regear this winter. Point is, it is not mandatory. You'll wish it were regeared sometimes but you can always regear it in the future. It does turn this into a 4 speed with a seldom used 5th gear and never used 6th gear.
I'd recommend 37s and then regear down the road sometime.
After 19,000 miles the 37s on heavy beadlocks killed the stock tie rod ends and ball joints...
