Our kids are in college and working. Android Auto works well plugged in. Does whatever I need. Call out, text someone, find gas or groceries when we roll into small towns
One of these days I’ll break free from Apple haha.
Thanks for your post, I’ve learned a lot from the forum:like:

Here's a series of mounts including cell phone using Ram Mounts-on the dash you utilize the screws under the rubber coin holder and on the grab bar replace the useless fake screws with a ram ball-ram mount and gun magnet. The "standard" magnet mounts will not hold your phone on a rough trail.

Which size ball/screw did you buy?

Over a few months of tinkering I managed to integrate a mounting ball right into the air vent clamp I shared with the forum earlier.

It's a much cleaner setup imho. Check it out here - curious on your thoughts.

And as before it keeps the phone away from the windshield, doesn't block the air flow.

P.S. I made 3 diff. ball sizes
* 20mm ball mounting system (67d, TackForm, and other 20mm systems)
* RAM size B ball (I use it to mount my Garmin inReach mini)
* 15mm Scosche mount (for their nice wireless/magnetic charger) - made it for a JLWrangler Forum member who was looking for a wireless charge option

There’s been a lot of debate in here about what this slot is for and I believe I have identified its true intended purpose. It holds chapstick perfectly. You’re welcome.

Dang. I keep mine in my left pocket and lost it on traffic with the doors off. Why wasn’t this told to me.

Saw an idiot driving today with 4 cell phones and a tablet all attached to his windshield on arms. Wish I could still write tickets.

i am not sure what this slot is for, but i have been using it to put my phone there in stand up position. works for me. i dont use the X [crossed slot] for phone, as i have a tendency to throw random stuff like keys in the cupholder and the iphone screen gets scratched when these things hit.

I’ve been using this spot since using spot for my phone since seeing your post. Underrated spot, I carry two phones and it’s way more convenient to put one here and one in the key/phone slot vs. shoving both between the cup holders or taking one up with a phone.

thanks for the tip.

I will say it again. Bulletproof Mounting solutions is A solid buy. 100% the best customer service out there.

I just installed the Bulletproof mount and am very happy with it. Will probably be adding a passenger side mount from them in the not too distant future.

Try a Tic Tac container. It's an exact fit

I like all the great phone holders on this thread. I had this setup before reading here. This is a bar mount holder that I added a additional bicycle phone mount with full swivel. The holder that comes with it is sturdy, but doesn't tilt towards the driver. The bar diameter is similar to a bicycle so most handlebar mounts will work. You can either remove the dash padding, drill through it, or cut out a notch so it will fit once this screws into place.

I previously used the magnet vent mount, but it won't hold my phone with case on bumpy roads.

P.S that touchscreen needs to be cleaned :>
