Just ask @cosine he knows!
There are gauges that can be used to set torque by a certain degree. However, 135 is an easy one.
If the breaker bar or torque wrench is pointing straight down, tighten another 90 degrees (from 6 o’clock to 9 o’clock). Then tighten another 45 degrees, half the distance from 9 to 12 (let’s just call it 1030).
Just did this, went 44ft lbs in the cross pattern I listed above, then went (3) 45 degree turns on each bolt. Went back and checked w/ torque wrench and it clicked solid at 90 ft lbs, so they're AT LEAST 90 ft lbs.

FWIW, when I clicked at 44, then used bar to further tighten that's about how tight they were when I picked up the Jeep from the shop, so they must've just stopped at 44 and didn't add the 135 degrees :(

I'm behind, what's the deal with the AE vs AA?
Both are the aluminum versions. The new cast iron steering box is a completely new part number per the first post on this thread.

Whatever it takes.

So if I had already snugged mine up to 90 lbs, I can leave them alone?

I thought the AA was the new one? AE is the old one?

I thought he meant the very first steering box. The point is the new steering box has a completely new part number before the AA, AB, etc.

Just dropped mine off at bayside Jeep in NY at 9 a.m the advisor told me they haven’t worked on my car yet so I’ll be updated once they work on it. I gave him the TSB and he told me they did one last week for the first time so I hope mine gets done too! Wish me luck!
they did my car last week

I initially torqued @ 90 (after the dealer left them loose), then I saw the 44 +135 degree post, so I loosened them up and re-torqued to spec. I know they're at least 90, but how much over that I didn't confirm. I'm guessing they're around 100 ft lbs but again, didn't confirm.

Just confirmed I-shaft bolt, it wasn't torqued to spec either, about 25 ft lbs, it's at 40 now and not 100% sure they used a new bolt on that one :( :(

For whats it worth...went to the dealer today. If you’re in Charlotte, Capital Jeep in Indian Trail. I have a pretty modded Jeep with aftermarket steering bits. I was in for the evaluation service visit. In and out in 10 minutes. I told them the steering got sloppy after an hour of driving. No questions asked..the Service Manager Jim was great. He told me had a few guys ahead of me. Bolts were on back order but he would get me taken care of soon. I was gone in 15 minutes and just waiting for the bolts to come in now.

Did service order list parts? Mine listed exactly what was listed on the TSB doc in 1st post. Note the box to frame bolts is qnty 1 as it's a set of 4.
