So the EVO enforcer overland stage 3 looks really good to me with the king shocks... but when I search evo on the site see several people talking about spring bowing and reservoir hitting other parts of the Jeep, which to me sounds like bad engineering.. looking for a reason to ignore that and get it anyways

I have the stage four with kings and had the springs bow. Called evo and they suggested the spring isolators from Energy (if i remember) I bought the Rancho ones because they were black. Solved the issue. Isolators should be included in the kit IMO, especially since they are about $30 I think. On a ~$7k lift kit thats nothing.

so other than that you haveare totally happy with the kit? Still wondering why they don’t change the design so it doesn’t happen in the first place

Anyone have feedback on the Clayton lift, noticed on their site it’s easy to drop components from the KitKats that you don’t need, and it saves me some money.. kits look nice in the site, and I can’t remember seeing a bad comment on the forum..

Rubicon JLU. It's a Jeep.
I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to suspension and lifts. What is the best/most “affordable” brand for a lift kit? I obviously don’t want a cheap one and for the ride to be worse, but I see some that are 3,000 dollars and think that’s ridiculous. I’m thinking a 3.5 inch lift with my 35s. What would be your suggestion?
We're all ignorant about something or other so no worries there.

You don't say whch Jeep you have and I can't see it listed in your profile, but you should check out the Dynatrac EnduroSport Lift Kit, it's 2" but should be perfectly suited for your needs. It's the one I'm getting (I have a Rubicon JLU). A search for "Dynatrac EnduroSport" will get you plenty of informative posts about it on here.

Have fun!

Yes, totally happy. The fix is the spring isolators, a $40 expense as long as you do it with the original install.

I have not seen a diesel yet . Are the diesels very loud
They sound like a little Kubota tractor if you're driving with the windows down. Our Eco Diesel is a fantastic Jeep.

Here’s what I’m wanting to install on my JLUD. Is this everything I’d need to complete the lift? I’ve looked online and spoken with teraflex some and the Responses have been vague.

Daystar has a new 2" spacer kit out with fixed arms. Description reads as a level kit also but after speaking with the Tech team it's actual a 2" lift on all 4 corners. Cost is $380.

What do you guys recommend for a 2.5” kit with adjustable lower control brackets, geo bracket (yes I know the hang down), and doesn’t include a track bar (I already have them. I was looking at the evo enforcer overland but see so many complaints of shocks not fitting or springs bowing, just doesn’t seem like quality engineering. I want to run a 6 caster and reduce chop, and brake dive.. while running 37”

I have this (Evo enforcer stage 4 Overland Plus) lift with the Rancho isolator - no coils bowing - on nitto 37 x 12.50 (18 JLUR, 6 speed.) King 2.5 shocks.

Had a pro installation from Chaos Fabrication, and has been completely issue free and just cherry all around - pleasure on highway and my 37s clear great , especially with chopped rear fenders (AAL kit front and rear). . Looks a little squatted maybe with all the weight I’m running (bumper, winch, rails, rhino rack, heavy tire carrier etc.)

Took it out to rausch creek last weekend and did harder trails in comparison to the light off-roading I’m more used to. Did blues (mostly), some reds (just a couple stretches), blacks and greens. The full gamut over 6 hours. My geo bracket got me hung up pretty bad on a stump going down a steep hill (krawl for cops, IIRC), tried winching and ended up needing a pull from the rear. No breaks or real damage but some takeaways - I should have opted for larger than 2.5 for greater articulation for the level of off-roading I want to do, the clearance issues on the geo bracket are not insignificant, I should invest in more skid plates all around.

I am now contemplating options and priorities.

if I were to do it again, I’d have started with the 3.5 lift and maybe run it without the drop bracket and see if you think you need it. Fwiw, the Evo 2.5 enforcer lift is noticeably less lift than the mopar 2 inch. I think 3.5 Evo lift will not look tall on 37s, and probably gives a little more travel /articulation potential than the 2.5. The 2.5 is the Evo bare minimum to clear 37s, with maybe some minimal and acceptable inner fender rubbing.

that is grea feedback.. I prefer a lower lift for day to day driving, getting in and out with the family.. since I only trail 6 times a year or so.. that has to be priority.. I do think you made me aware the combo of 2.5” with drop brackets could be something I regret. I actually started looking at the Clayton Offroad kit .. it has adjustable lower and upper control arms, so I can adjust the caster to 6 and not do the brackets... and they have it set up so you can order just the components you want allowing me to drop the track bar... plus they still have an active 10% off coupon “usa10”

Sounds good - for light trail use the drop brackets aren’t an issue. Rocks like these though got me hung up and scraped. I’m the gray JLUR.

to give credit where due, most of these pics were taken by the Mount Zion offroad crew - an awesome crew to wheel with.

good luck with whatever you decide.
