Completed install of the rear tow loops in about 20 min. Driver-side: easy 2 min removal of factory hook and loop install. Passenger-side: Was able to angle the included nut plate into the end of the passenger-side frame without removing the factory plastic bumper, but did need to cut a ~2” notch on the bottom inside edge of the bumper to accommodate the loop. Overall, really stout hardware that gives way more versatile tow / tie-down points than the single OEM hook (have yet to find any answers on why FCA does not offer a passenger-side hook for JLs...so strange...but opens the window for great aftermarket gear from folks like Maximus-3). Hey Maximus-3 team: any blow-out Labor Day specials to offer on a set of your front tow loops?!

Does anyone know if the front tow loops will work with any system other than the Blue Ox? Specifically looking at Roadmaster.

I'd contact Maximus 3. If there is an adapter I suspect they'll know of it.

FYI, the front tow hooks are not comparable with the Artec winch plate.

Our tow loops can work with most tow bars, provided you find an adapter-clevis to marry the bar to our tow loops.

Wow their plate looks poorly designed.
I feel both your hooks and their winch plate seemed pretty nice to me. Itjust barely didn’t fit... I could have made it fit with less work than cutting the holes for the towloops... I just didn’t feel comfortable cutting it up.

Why do you say their plate looks poorly designed?

I am using the Maximus-3 tow loops with a Rugged Ridge Arcus winch bumper on my Gladiator. The Arcus provided bolts were not long enough to get through the added width of the beefy Maximus tow loops. No problem. I replaced all the Arcus bolts with longer grade 8 bolts. I have towed the Jeep on a few trips since installing. It tows better than the previous JK 2 dr, and the Maximus tow bar mounts have not budged. Happy customer.

So, after my install, I thought I'd give some pointers on how I'd do it if I had to do over and recommendations for Maximus-3 on their instructions.

1. Remove your wiring harness before the first cut. I'm an idiot and punched the hole saw through and wrapped up the harness. I knew to be careful, but I did it anyway.
2. Sparks thrown from the cutoff tool will eventually burn through the wiring harness. Just take the damn thing off. This would have saved me so much time.
3. Buy a proper 4.5" grinder, not the POS 3" tool sold as a cutoff at Harbor Freight. 3" disks are hard to find and the 3" Cutt Off overheats. The 3" is the same price as the 4.5" it HF.
4. Drill all 4 holes, put the skid back on and then draw a line to connect the outside edges of the circles. Doing it this way will make sure the cuts line up between the bumper and the skid. Mine are pretty far off.
5. A cheap bi-metal hole saw from HD for like $12 will do. Don't buy a fancy machine shop hole saw with fewer teeth, they'll break off.
6. If you're not using the Maximus-3 winch plate, you will want to verify the plate is comparable with the hooks. The beefy Artec plate is not compatible.

For Maximus-3:
1. I found your measurement instructions to be pretty ambiguous. Are those measurements strait line measurements or should they follow the curves of the bumper. Probably doesn't make a huge difference, but it was kinda stressful making that first cut being unsure.
2. Why not just include a paper template you can align to the near by bolts? This would be so cheap and really, really helpful.

Overall, I like these, they mount strong to the frame and I bet I'd rip off the axles before these tear out... that is if any line is even capable.

Guess I missed all this good stuff earlier when I posted another thread yesterday. I have 2020 JLU with a factory steel bumper, Maximus 3 Winch Plate, Maximus 3 Stinger Bar and gen 3 XRC winch (that part probably doesn't matter, just listing anything that could be in the way).
How much extra work is it to install the Maximus 3 JL Tow Loops after the fact? I am going to need to get a set up for flat towing soon and everything else I've read suggests all the aftermarket base plates won't work with a Winch Plate and a winch installed.
Thoughts?

I just had the full Maximus front bumper treatment done (winch mount (Warn Xeon 10S), winch trim plates, classic hoop, JL tow loops, and the stealth front license plate mount). I was lucky enough to get it all done at once. I’m not sure you have to drop your bumper to get all the bolts (I’ll take some pics in the morning if you pm me). But it’ll definitely make doing the bumper and skidplate cuts easier.

Thanks for pictures. I suppose since I did all the rest already it's not gonna kill me take the bumper back off again. It almost looks like I may be able to do it without taking it off again though. I'll have to mull that one over and look at the configuration of the tow loop bolts.
At least now I know I have viable option to use regardless of the extra work.
Thanks for your help. I'm very happy with all of the parts I have from Maximus 3 anyway. Top notch stuff.

Will the rear tow loops work on the diesel? The def tank sits different the the muffler on the gas version.

I had them installed on my diesel. They had to trim the muffler a little to make it work.
