Hello All,

Happy Jeeping!

Just wondering what everyone is running out front.

I have a Sport S and still have the basic front bar. I am looking at what I can replace it with - but the answer is not much.

ARB only has the Rubi bumper ready to go.

Not sure if there are many others ADR approved.

I like the Smittybilt gen 2 SRC bull bar but am not sure about the recovery points being compliant..

Any other suggestions?

While we are on this - how about rear bars as well ?

There seems to be quite a few pics on Facebook where Rubicon owners have replaced their steel bars with ARB or others. One would think there’s surely someone that would part with theirs for a reasonable price? Then all you would have to do is add a hoop bar for a few hundred dollars from overseas.
The best deal I remember seeing was the Warn low grille guard hoop which was on Amazon au delivered for under $300.
I personally don’t like the look of anything that’s on offer at the moment and am sick to death of waiting for AEV’s front bumper so ordered a hoop and stuck it on yesterday.

Interesting. I didn't realise that they allow for the rear distance sensors to be installed on them... Is this new? Or your own mod?

The bar comes with the cutouts and mounting points for the sensors and the fog lights (also includes additional parts for sensor mounting), simply remove the sensors, wiring harness and fog lights from the factory bar and fit them to the ARB bar.

ARB has just release the bar for the Sport and the Overland is not far away.

I think the only one I'll wait for is the AEV bar, it looks very sleek/OEM quality.

Currently happy with the rubicon bumper and Maximus-3 bar similar to xtnqx
