Okay that's good to know. I had a feeling it did.

Keep the original factory-supplied oil in until the necessary time. The original oil is a “break-in” oil used to condition the metal of the engine block with extra additives.
Fake news!

This is the right answer. Leave the factory oil in until the first scheduled oil change.

Then put in whatever you like that meets the spec - I like Pennzoil Platinum but many good choices.

My salesman said they put “the cheap shit in at the factory,” when I asked if it came with synthetic. Lol.
People are afraid to answer technical questions with "I don't know."

I worked for Jeep for years and know what I’m saying is true.
Surprise, a negative response on a forum.
What knowledge do you offer to back up your interjection?... or are you a Troll?
@Rubidozer

Yeah, I am a troll .... 8-) and know you are wrong about break in engine oil being put in at engine assembly time. Pure BS. I'm sure some here will believe you. :LOL:

Sir, there are hundreds of links when you Google “engine break-in oil” for products called and advertised as engine break-in oil. You say it’s a myth with SUCH conviction that it’s confusing! ;)

And that right there tells you how well FCA dealerships train their staff about the products they sell.

No i think its more the original question is stupid... why would you ask if its okay to put synthetic oil when if you take 30seconds to do a quick search youd realize it came from the factory that way.
