My Sahara disables the BSM when I hit the trail - both markers light up and an announcement pops up on the dashboard.

One marker staying on sounds like something's broken.

Try cleaning off the sensor which is part of the plastic on the rear brake light housing. Mine will do that if I am on a dusty road. Cleaning it off fixes it immediately!

Same here. Mine stay lighted up on trails when it gets dusty or muddy. Just a quick wipe off gets them working normal again.

Both of mine have stayed lit since day one March 31st. Clean rig or not they stay on. I checked the door harness connections, both fine.

I dropped mine off to the dealer Monday and they still don’t know what’s wrong. FCA told the dealer to update software and reset the computer; no luck. So now we’re waiting for FCA to give the next set of instructions. This is nuts why so many people have this issue on a new car. I wish I didn’t waste the money on this option.

Checked both sides and they are clean. Left side is on all the time and right is non responsive to anything in the blind spot. Appointment at the dealer Tuesday they said they had to tear apart the dash to look for a short--YIKES

It was reported that FCA had to mount the BSM sensors on the tail light housings because they had to be as far out as possible, otherwise the fenders kept triggering them.

Do you guys have something sticking out on the sides of the Jeep, like extra wide tires or anything else?

I hope that tech isn’t new or pissed he’s working during Covid.

I must have a different google than you. Read through several pages of Jeep Wrangler Blind Spot Monitor issues and found two including one from this forum. How many does NHTSA have about it?

Are your sliders sticking out past your fenders?

I know it sounds trivial, but these are electronic sensors after all.

The sensors faulted from day one I drove mine home with everything stock. But no my sliders don’t stick out past the fenders.

Just to update everyone.
I finally got my rig back after two weeks of FCA saying to reflash different computers. Finally FCA said to replace the modules and now day two so far so good no faults.

Fingers crossed the bad modules were it.

The tech and service writer were great. The tech called me directly to ask me questions to try and help solve my problem the first few days. Never in my life about 20+ cars have I had a tech call me to try and figure out the problem. The service writer was great too I’ve never had so many calls to keep me in the loop as this service writer.

I hope this is he norm with Jeep and not a covid fluke.
