But the exterior dimensions of the block are the same. The only difference is the blower that sits between the heads, and that can't effect crash standards. So something is fishy with all of this. The only plausible explanation that I can come up with is the frame is stronger, similar to what they did with the Mohave. And this keeps the engine from joining the passenger compartment in a collision. But that is really reaching for a reason for his previous statement to be true, and this to be plausible.

That’s awesome. A V8 jeep

Now if only Jeep would spend a minute fixing the trash ass steering in all current models. That would be something to talk about!!!!

That's just the top the motor, the bottom is identical.
Are you suggesting that additional cooling or other accessories are equivalent to air?

If so, okay. I guess.

Absent other information, I'll consider what was actually said, rather than what we think they meant.

When they talk about crash testing, aren’t they referring
to how much space is above the motor in the event say a person is hit? So it makes to me why a 6.4 or 5.7 could be implemented.

Second thing.... Steering and 450hp.... Wonder if we’re finally gonna have a solution for the wandering and dead spot in the steering.

Yeah but who pays that...I got 13% off mine. I think the point about selling too many is valid though, but then again -- 4xe is also coming. Who knows.

I do think they will charge a premium to ensure it softens demand, but I also don't think there's a ton of people that will buy a V8 Wrangler that starts at ~$60k. Given how people option them, with options it will probably end up in the $70's... but I honestly think that puts demand low enough where they will not impact CAFE.

But yeah dropping a hellcat crate motor into a Wrangler is ... probably a $50,000-$75,000 project once you start upgrading everything else that will need it. It gets expensive very fast. Ask me how I know, ha. Also, you think Track hawk MPG is bad... you'd be lucky to get 5-6 mpg out of a hellcat swapped Wrangler on 37's.
Honestly bro if I had to guess I would say its gonna be a package like the Sasquatch Package on the bronco. I would expect it to be 15k probably. So I mean you have a 34k Jeep and spend 15k on the 392 package you got one badass Offroader for only 49k. At least that's how I hope they do it to compete with the sasquatch. Maybe put 35,s and a lift and steel bumpers and maybe some lightbars And of course the badging lol.

A pickup. What’s this have to do with a 392?
You’re not wrong in seeing a pickup. But there’s so much more in this picture than taken at face value. Similar to the pictures of the ones posted in the first post by Jay.
Got it...yep that’s exactly what it is....car porn!
A teaser for certain! We will revisit this conversation in another thread when discussing Fords.

The wheelbase seen and your vague hints have me thinking that this could be a Full Size 4 door Bronco Mule.

By additional cooling, I'll assume that you are talking about the Intercooler that sits in front of the radiator, which does not take away from the engine bay at all. The accessories are pretty much the same between the two, just layed out differently. The only additional components that would be in the negative space of the 392 when adding the Hellcat motor would be the hollow aluminum tubing that carries the charge air to and from the Intercooler.

We’re kidding here, right? That’s someone’s personal vehicle. It’s got bumper stickers on it. Come on people!
They want it to look as incognito as possible.

How about options like Dana 60's, locking hubs, factory 37"'s, reinforced tailgate that can actual handle a large spare. Just to name a few.
60's yes. Locking hubs, probably not, too costly for only one model. More than likely they will need to add the Dana 60's in order to handle the power and Torque over a longer period of time. 37 inch tires will greatly reduce the MPG and knock their CAFE umbrella way out of alignment. The tire can go on a tire hanger, as the body/hinges/gate can not handle heavy loads, and would take a complete body redesign in order to accommodate. And we all know how a major body redesign would effect sales of diehard Jeep buyers.
