Again, you buy a Rubicon for $40k and spend $25k for a swap. So $65k. Also track hawk starts at $89k before delivery with zero options. These numbers are not close. People will literally not buy them if this model starts at $89k before options.
Difference being that they will not be dropping 6.2’s in 40k rubi’s. Btw Rubi’s start at 42k no?

We can thank Ford for this future Jeep. I have a feeling this will be fast tracked because of the Bronco.
Indeed, keeps how awesome Jeep is on everyone’s mind during the Bronco Pandemic. LOL

I thought most folks here were discussing starting price. That's $44k after delivery MSRP -- but reasonably educated people do not pay that. In fact, it's more like $38-$39k w/o any options assuming 11-12% off MSRP, which is completely doable.

Yeah but who pays that...I got 13% off mine. I think the point about selling too many is valid though, but then again -- 4xe is also coming. Who knows.

I do think they will charge a premium to ensure it softens demand, but I also don't think there's a ton of people that will buy a V8 Wrangler that starts at ~$60k. Given how people option them, with options it will probably end up in the $70's... but I honestly think that puts demand low enough where they will not impact CAFE.

But yeah dropping a hellcat crate motor into a Wrangler is ... probably a $50,000-$75,000 project once you start upgrading everything else that will need it. It gets expensive very fast. Ask me how I know, ha. Also, you think Trackhawk MPG is bad... you'd be lucky to get 5-6 mpg out of a hellcat swapped Wrangler on 37's.

I’ve seen numbers in here as high as 80k lol no way it’ll be that much. The motor itself I believe runs for about 8k.
To go from the 3.6 to the 392 on a Challenger Scat Pack is only $11K. I don't know why it would cost cost $30k in a Wrangler.

With the current steering rack that should be interesting
My guess is very limited numbers due to FCA needing to meet C.A.F.E. requirements and $50000 base pricing. A turbo 3.6 would make more sense!

Expect the Production announcement to be made Q3 this year. They said all their BS about not meeting crash test requirements, to not let the competition know about it.

There's the 4xe coming though which could offset it.
