2 weeks in KZ still no idea when it is going to ship. There are obviously some issues going on up there, I just hope they get it figured out before I get tired of waiting and move on to something else.
Toyota should be capitalizing on this with the Taco and 4Runner. I’m getting impatient as well. Ordered 1/20 and still in BG with no vin.

Mine arrived at a rail yard in Los Angeles 3 weeks ago. I’m only 200 miles away. Apparently it had a dead battery when it got there, so they couldn’t get it on the truck. The dealer and Jeep Customer Care have both been positively worthless about getting me any useful information about when it will make it up to me. I told them I’d go down and get it myself, and they say I can’t. I’m starting to get pretty frustrated about it. Sounds like I’m not the only one with shipping problems.

Hey Paul,

I'm very sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. After searching our private messages, I don't believe you sent us one about your order. Would you mind sending us your VIN there. We'd be glad to look more into this and try to get some answers.

Don't bother, @JeepCares can't tell you anything. The jeep I regret ordering has been in shipping status for 4 weeks. @JeepCares said they would look into it, but ZERO updates around what's going it. Their customer service is as big of a joke as their shipping.

Mine sat on the ground in KZ status for 27 days and still hasn't arrived, even though it shipped mid-Feb. As a first (and last) time jeep buyer, I regret my purchase.

Here's a funny one for you guys. The dealer got one yesterday that was built 4 days after mine. Very close to the same, but not exactly.

Mine built Feb 14 and it is ETA unknown.
The one on the lot built Feb 18

Figure that one out.

I got my money back on my order, Jeep is a cluster right now. I might be back in 2019, might not be.

Hi kablam0r,

I'm very sorry to hear you feel this way. You advised our team to look more into your order and we were working on that. A few days later you requested directions on how to cancel your order as we didn't have an update at that time. We would be more than happy to continue looking into this and consulting with the appropriate teams in an effort to locate your JL. We do appreciate you taking time out to share your feedback and hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

Question: Is anyone else having problems getting the virtual presence FCA Hologram image software to work---you know, the one that puts you in the factory while your JM is built, and in the driver's seat while it's being transported (think Star Trek not railcar) to your dealer?

Oops..sorry, wrong time space continuum.;)

P.S. proper audience: how many of you lost your premium hard top in the Transporter? Me too! Those FCA vendors!

I am hoping they figured you have a hard top and they decided to give me yours since I ordered mine with only the premium soft top. Maybe they are putting yours on mine so I can get my Jeep and you can get the I.O.U. for a later date! :cwl:

The saga continues. A week or so ago I set a drop dead date of April 7 on the dealer, then the other one showed up that was built after mine. I got pissed, got my deposit back and was moments away from a GT350R last night. I decided to sleep on it over night. This morning I checked with Jeep chat, which has no idea I told the dealer April 7, guess what. Mine is now scheduled for delivery April 6 per chat this morning..... funny. I have my money back so I can run off into the sunset and buy another toy, or I can give them 2 weeks and see if it really gets delivered. It was ETA TBD for 4 weeks, to suddenly having a date after I went hog wild on them yesterday. Decisions decisions

Sometimes I wish I didn't give a dam about cars and could just go buy an appliance off the lot like most folks. But I can't . What's wrong with us?

Well, many of us didn't buy off the lot because we were able to get what we wanted--or close to what we wanted--for less cost by placing a factory order.

I could have afforded MSRP. I do not say that to brag. Rather, I say that to imply that I would consider myself a shmuck for doing so, and it would go against everything my parents raised with as it regards, yes, spending money while alive--as you can't take it with you, but doing so smartly.

I don't need the rig right away. Well, nobody "needs" the rig. I mean to say my daily driver still runs ok (at least when I drove its 110K miles ass yesterday.) I wouldn't afford myself the convenience expenditure of a lot purchase.

But--for many of us, the wait for the factory order, and the lack of control or at least data regarding where its at or why it's delayed is very frustrating. To some extent, yes of our own spending habit doing as a collective, we are victims of monosonistic power (a supplier of one) in the Wrangler having little competition in its vehicle sector space. FCA enjoys that monopsony legally--no anti-Trust litigation here. Other vendors are free to enter the space. But some of us feel that with a little competition, FCA might, as much as I suspect 99% of the FCA builders are working hard and smart, be a little more accountable to its marketplace.

What's wrong with us? We're frustrated. Life is hard. We look to our Wranglers like some look to a needed vacation from the work grind. Our Wranglers represent the freedom and escape that our so regulated lives, from laws to social protocol, bind us to.

When I was younger, poorer, and parked in neighborhoods where (and in its day) car theft was more common, I learned to consider a vehicle like a toaster. I took care of it but limited my emotional attachment to it.

But today I feel differently. Many of us personalize our Wranglers. They become a part of us, just as we become a part of them, all while recognizing that compared to life, they're just replaceable pieces of steel in the final analysis.
