Hey Guys

Just wondering if this wheel/tire combo will work with a non-lifted 2019 JL Rubicon.

BFGoodrich ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2 - SIZE: 35X12.5R18LT
On the following wheel (specs)
* Wheel Diameter: 18 in.
* Wheel Width: 8.5 in.
* Bolt Pattern: 5 x 127
* Offset: +18 mm
* Center Bore: 71.5

My main concern is +18mm offset. I don't really have much knowledge about offset just want to make sure this will work for a year before I get a lift and start some easy trails. (Not a hardcore offroader)

that equals a 5.46" backspacing which is a lot. it might work on the street but i think it would rub the inner fenders like crazy if you take it off road and flex at all.

I am on 37s but 2 inch lift with +25. Barley rubbed at the back tire to the bottom plastic piece but was able to heat it up and get enough clearance.

So basically a 18 x 8.5 wheel with +18 mm ( 5.46" backspacing) would rub on the suspension without spacers? I want to stay away from spacers if possible. And for now I'm not planning to do any off-roading maybe some easy trail at most. The wheels will be going on a 35x12.5R18LT? I really like the wheel, it does come in a 17x9 but the particular pattern on the wheel just looks too small on 35's in my opinion so I was hoping I can get the 18x8.5.

Stock JL Rubicon wheels are 17x7.5 with a +44 offset. Are wun 285/75R17 tires without rubbing.
AEV JL specific wheels are 17x8.5 with +25 backspacing and are supposed to be fine with 315/70R17 (metrics 35s). They better be, my set of AEV Borahs show up today.
Your 18x8.5 +18 wheels will pus the center line of the wheel 26mm outwards or approx 1 inch. Your going with a tire about 1.3 inches wider, but half of the width on each side, so the inside of the tire will be approximately .35 inches further away than stock.

Thanks, so in that case I should be fine and there will be no rubbing correct?. Please let us know how your AEVs are and post pictures if you can.

I can't say fir sure that they won't rub, but U suspect they will be OK.

For now, I'm going to swap the 285/70s to the Borahs. I want yo use them up and build the Jeep funds back up for new tires.

Just realized the same wheel I was looking for comes in the following specs.
  • Wheel Diameter: 18 in.
  • Wheel Width: 8.5 in.
  • Bolt Pattern: 5 x 127
  • Offset: 0 mm
  • Center Bore: 71.5
0mm is like 4.5 backspacing correct? This should be safer option compared to the +18mm offset?
