These are the dates we have for the 2021 Wrangler (as of May 4, 2020):

2021MY Order Banks Open: 6/5/20
2021MY Start of Production: 8/10/20
2020MY Last Day Orders Accepted: 6/4/20

These are of course subject to change, but if Toledo plant reopens on May 18 as planned, and do not close again, then these dates should generally hold.

Any idea of when info will be released on what order options will be different, like colors, or if the 6MT will be available with the 2.0T?

Thanks!

So by that rationale, I should have the 2020 Wrangler I ordered in March delivered no later than August

I’ve never ordered a vehicle before. I’m assuming if we place an order 6/5/20 for 2021MY that the dealer will accept it and just throw us into the queue?

Hah. We’ll be okay man. I’m betting on late June arrival.

I wonder when the new order options will be released?! Been planning to buy the 2020 JLUR but if I waited this long, it might be better to wait and see if there will be any new options! maybe they add the front camera similar to Gladiator.

I don’t want to wait, but Murphy’s law says they’ll change something little like that and I’ll kick myself for not waiting. Hoping the details get released soon.

These are the dates we have for the 2021 Wrangler (as of May 4, 2020):

2021MY First Day Orders Accepted: 7/8/20
2021MY Start of Production: 8/10/20
2020MY Last Day Orders Accepted: 6/4/20

Jay, I noticed in the ordering information it doesn't appear there is the ability to order a JLUR Diesel...only a Sport or Sahara. Can you confirm that is the case?

Thanks!

I can officially confirm the 2021 will have the much anticipated c**** b*** plus the new color V********* but only on the special edition B**** W****** coming out in October. Hope that helps.

Not to mention that your vehicle will be an extra year old, resale-wise.

True. I was hoping a 2020 model would be a good one for resale given the fact it's the year 2020. LOL but due to everything going on, I think no one would even want the 2020 . I really hope they release the order guide for 2021 soon. But just talked to a dealer and he mentioned don't expect it till September which I think that's pretty late.

Any chance that Wrangler Mojave order info will be out around that 7/8/20 date? Been thinking about it since I saw the leak on the front page here, and honestly starting to think that the Mojave might offer the best mix of everything that I myself am looking for. Diesel 3.0 order dates were delayed for quit the time past their MY of release.

It's all relative. You either have a 2020 Wrangler that's "an extra year old, resale-wise" but with lower miles, or you have a 2021 that you bought in 2020, so it's one year newer but will have higher miles. Don't forget that the price is always increasing on Wranglers too. To each their own.
