Pretty much. I sanded the texture off the part first. Used 120 regular sand paper for that, before switching to more finer paper to get it nice and smooth. I made sure to paint the side edges of the part as we have extreme panel gaps. :) I also painted the flat part a 1/4" that tucks under the cowl plate in front of windshield. This is where I screwed up, should have gone for more coverage. I got a picture, here:

Other than that, straight forward. Sand, prime few coats, sand, paint a few coats, sand, clear coat, then I did rubbing compound and wax. A member here recommended the paint kit from this site (You can find the Mopar paints cheaper, but I liked that I could get everything in 1 kit here): https://touchupdirect.com/

The part has a slight orange peel texture to it now, but looks great in person. Not bad for rattle cans on the lawn. :)

I just painted my fender on my Ram. I went to an auto paint supply store and they set me up with the color and a two stage clear all through spray cans. I had doubts but it came out factory finish!! The key in the final stages was to sand down the orange peel using 1500 grit sand paper with water. Afterwards, I used a non orbital polisher using a two step compound then polis which brought the shine and reflection back

Busy day!!!!:whew:.....

My daughter and I removed my dad's winter tires and put on his summers..... but not without issues.... the idiots that put them on(dealer) torqued the lugs so frigging tight that I stripped the lock nut key...

So we had to improvise and with a 12 point socket and some heat, we prevailed and what should have taken a half hour, turned into hours of work.....

Then it was on to my wife's Audi.... painted the calipers red... well I prepped them.... she painted!:like:

Came out nice!!!! Gonna look hot!!!

Then I figured I would fabricate a muffler delete..... took some exhaust pipe I had laying around and cut and welded it together, added a hanger and on it went.... wrapped the seam with extra exhaust wrap i had when I had built my bobber's exhaust....

So that was my day. Tomorrow I will probably paint the muffler delete with high temp paint.

EDIT: Painted the delete black yesterday (2020/5/13)... much better

Thanks, I'll give that a shot this weekend.

Haven't done it yet, but got it today - Teraflex CB Antenna/Flag mount for the rear gate hinge. Sand Canyon requires a flag so this is a nice add. Will post another picture after it's installed
