rear has to be modified correct? One forum member did this and stated bolt size not same on rear
Bearings were swapped out with original shocks and put on the Fox shocks with no problems at all.

Swapped out the standard Smittybilt hook for a Factor 55 Flat Link. I’ll be removing the extra set of lights and painting the D Rings to closer match.

Yesterday's project was to take in my 18 JLUR to the dealer for only its second oil change and tire rotation (Jeep wave). Yep, I have about 8500 miles and its a 2018.

While they were at it I asked them to repair my inoperable rear window defroster under warranty. Like many, the little defroster grid tabs had broken and were just dangling by the wires. Rather than repair they went and ordered me ana whole new window because they said the entire grid was fried! Weird! I haven't looked at it myself, but I wonder if it hadn't fried itself as the connection became a short, or if the cause was something else? Or perhaps the dealer just didn't feel like performing the tab repair TSB and knew that ordering a new window would be far less time consuming?

The 2016 JK in this pic is my 17 year old son's. He's a 2020 high school grad, who like many have had their senior year ripped from them including sports, prom, and senior trips. Sucks. Anyways, his JK had a recall for the airbag and another to re-locate the front impact sensors. So we got those done and we also got him an oil change as well. Not a bad day for our Wranglers!

The Jeep dealer in our area is open but way under capacity (much like most hospitals across the US). The manager said they're servicing on average about half the vehicles they normally did pre-COVID. He's had to lay off, furlough, or severely cut back hours his mechanics' hours. In the sales department there are only 2 working where there would normally be at least a dozen. This BS needs to end - and soon!

Update:

Got my new rear window installed by my dealer today under warranty.

So I'm happy to have a functional rear window defroster again, but what's sad is I had a nice Santa Clara University Baseball sticker on the old window that couldn't be removed without damage. Afore mentioned son (2016 2dr JK Sport w/Metalcloak lift on 35s) will be an incoming freshman baseball player at SCU in the fall, assuming the world is back to normal by then. Getting a scholarship to play D1 baseball is tough and I'll be looking for a new sticker for my rig once everything opens back up. Kid was lucky to have already signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) before this garbage went down and his high school team, which had won it all for the past 2 years had their season end 4 games in. :(

Should have been quoting Larrymuld since the screw is in his tire, I just saw that. I added his quote so Larry will see.
Thanks, I obviously did not see that. I just rotated them and that one came off of the driver side rear.

I just pulled the trigger on this, i'll get it next week. Hopefully i can figure out how to put it together. Looks fairly easy though.
You will find it to be very easy. You’ll need to use a little common sense as the instructions aren’t great but it’s simple enough to figure out.

If you’re going to lower the windshield fully during the installation do some research on removing the wiper arms. Often times they’re tough to remove (at least the first time) and there are some tricks to help, or a cheap puller tool you can get.

Hey there. Is that true Beads or simulated? It looks awesome
You know, I thought they were fakies when I ordered them but they’re true bead locks.

No painting in the garage. Had to build a make shift paint booth. Hopefully raptor liner them tomorrow. Cleaned up the bare metal with acetone then did an etch primer. These things are beef and made in USA. Anyone looking check out @CavFab_mfg
