Not sure if I want to bother trying to get it out, I tried to look for it from outside, but don't see it.

Maybe this weekend, I'll dig through the service CD and see what is involved in getting in deeper.

Anyone ever do this? Or other items?

please clarify the "dime" is it a 10 cent dime or a dime bag (self explanatory) .

joke aside. the defroster vent is a tube that runs into the heater tube and down to the heater vent / core. so if you drop something down there, it most likely gone down farther then you think. at that point i would think its not worth taking things apart to get it. unless its rattling or maybe the fans are chewing on it. i'm sure others will chime in.

The blower motor is on the other side of the heater core and evaporator, so nothing should make it that far. It could wind up in an air diverter door or something though. If everything still works ok, it’s probably not worth your time to go get it.

I did the same thing in my Jeep and then immediately pulled on the e-brake and three cherries came up across the dash and a bunch of quarters dropped out the floor vents.

No but I dropped a $2 (Canadian) into the gap between the driver seat and parking brake lever AKA black hole and I think it’s gone forever.
What a waste of a good Toonie!

Later,
Johnny
