I'm sorry, as a customer service analyst I find this response disturbing. How bout trying to fix the broken system so folks DO feel comfortable & satisfied with their dealer??
Hello ALRUI,
We certainly understand your sentiments expressed here. However, I would like to take a moment to clarify for you that JeepCares is the Social Engagement Team for FCA. We monitor forums, as well as social media platforms, to assist customers who are currently experiencing vehicle concerns as well as get them connected with a Case Specialist to work with their dealers throughout the repair process. If you decide to work with a certified Jeep dealer for your recent concern, please know our team is available to provide additional assistance.

I don't blame FCA, I blame AISIN at this point. As for recall reimbursement, they'll likely reimburse the parts, not labor. And labor costs as much as the parts.

Why are you blaming Aisin for a pressure plate problem ?
Who makes the clutch itself? I'm asking, I honestly don't know....but it doesn't seem unreasonable for a transmission manufacturer to also design the clutch intended for use with that tx? Maybe not?

Is " Schaeffler Group " a manufacturer, or an IMPORTER ? Because I find " Schaeffler Group is Schaeffler HOLDING, CHINA. Another American company gone by the board, China owned.

Looks like they own LuK, and in my experience LuK has been good stuff ... I believe this is the same issue Ford had with Firestone Tires (if you remember, they put cheap underrated tires and they exploded on the highway on new SUVs), engineering, marketing and accounting pushed the product at the very ends of their design. Essentially they went cheap and put in a part that barely good enough, and in some cases not good enough at all... These are great vehicles, why manufacturers are messing them up with subpar components!!! My guess is that the metal used for the flywheel is cast and cheap grade steel or iron, heat and all the forces break them apart like a grenade. If I need a clutch job, I will be handing my dealer a certerforce kit, billet one piece flywheel, sturdy clutch and a METAL throwout bearing. Had many cars with many thousands of miles with the same recipe.

The Ford fiasco was due to underinflated tires and owners of top heavy vehicles driving them like sports cars thus rolling over. There was a separate earlier fiasco (1970's) with Firestone 500's randomly blowing out due to a defect. Those were just dangerous tires!

History repeats itself I guess ... thought it was tires with a load rating too low for loaded SUVs ... but whatever, crappy tires are at least a little better than crappy clutch bomb.

I canā€™t even find images of the JL clutch and flywheel setup ... sadly I can find them in pieces but not new ... do we actually have a dual mass ? I guess I assumed.

Folks, ANY manufacturer and ANY supplier can have problems or defects. They are man-made machines. Even the best of them will have an unforseen problem that didn't show up in testing because you can't 100% replicate the real world. They've acknowledged there is a problem and are working on a fix. That's what I expect them to do, and if they do, then I'll be satisified. In the mean time, I'm still driving mine with no worries, although not nearly as much due to this darned virus.
