Spring needs to arrive because I need my soft top back on! I got mine last summer so this is the first winter I've had to sit through all cooped in. Is it worse in the northern states (Wisconsin) when you have to wait through winter, or in the southern states when you have to wait through summer?

This pic is from fall, but it is likely happening soon again.

I got mine in October. Ran it naked once with my kids in their winter jackets.

Can’t wait to switch to the soft top for the first time!

But, reading through this forum, I know I have to wait for a nice warm sunny day for the initial install.

Yeah, it wasn't super easy to install the soft top because of needing to stretch it. I definitely did so on a sunny day and it was maybe in the 60s.

Being from Wisconsin, but living in Georgia for 36 years, it's worse to be up north than down south.
I got my JL last June and spent most of the time topless... even on hot days, I went topless. And we get a few freak days in the winter where we get to drop the top. Also, no salt to rot out our vehicles.

Living in Southern Arizona affords one to run a soft top all year. I bought the dual tops, but in hindsight would have saved some money just going with the premium soft top. I will have to put the windows in during the summer monsoons or just remove the carpet and drain plugs. Haven’t run without doors, but that is coming soon.

I live in the armpit of the U.S, FLORIDA!

Right now we have nice weather, high of 75, average in mid 60s.

Summer time is absolutely disgusting. Can't spend more than a minute outside, without feeling like someone's breathing on you.
Hey! Don't try to steal the title Illinois fought so hard get! Remember, we go to FL for vacation ... nobody ever comes here! (with good reason)

I ordered a Sky One-Touch for that reason. Weather here sucks ...

That's true. Florida is definitely an interesting place.

We have this fun game where we guess where some of our crazy "Florida Man" news articles occur. If it happens in your city, you lose. We also have the Promised Land of grocery stores, PUBLIX. :please:

x2... I run the soft top, or no top all winter (if that's what you call it here).

Oh, wait. I don't even HAVE a hard top. No choice!

Myself and my wife have a great understanding..
She is fully aware that if it's 50 degrees or above..
Plan on a Jeep Hair Don't Care day...
Only have the soft top ( only way to go as far as I'm concerned)... Prepped it with some 303 fabric protection before winter, no issues so far.
Will clean it and reapply this summer..
Love the versatility of the softop..

Soft top only on mine, haven't had any issues in winter. The heater in these things is fecking awesome, even on the coldest days it gets toasty warm inside. I've no need for a hard top, really.

Part of it is what you are used to, and part of it depends on where in Florida you are.

I'm in South Florida on the Gulf coast. It's A/C weather here like 10-11 months a year, hot and humid. We get a couple nice days, maybe a week, here and there during the winter, but it can easily be too cold or too hot. Not to mention the random rain shower out of sunny skies.

I did the bundle up to ride the Harley into work on cold morning, then roll it all up and strap it to the back for the hot ride home, I'm done with those days. :)

I would like to get the Trektop, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
