How are you liking the rack so far?

It looks the base comes up to a level that's about the same height as the soft top. Is that about right?

Los Angeles here. The taxes & registration here are absolutely absurd. The sunshine, surfing, and architecture are the only reason I'm still here - my Republican/Libertarian soul cringes at how much cash I'm shelling out to the state. Anyone got this beat?

I'm not sure why you are complaining. Living in AZ I paid $685 for registration on my 2019 JLR. $562 doesn't seem that bad.

Oddly enough, cassettes are far more popular than CDs with the under-25 set. Young touring bands release on cassette, vinyl, and digital. No CDs.

Puzzling, other than as a gimmick, why would hopeful small bands spend time and money producing content on media with very limited players in the population? How many cassette decks and record players are still functioning out there? Everyone has a digital media player these days.

On a side note, does anyone have any experience running a heavier tire on the tailgate?
Total weight of my spare is 90lbs and I've been reading that the tailgate is rated for 85lbs total

Check into the tailgate reinforcement kit.

FWIW I'm middle-aged and only buy vinyl (they come with download codes). No way in hell I'd buy a cassette though. Sucked then; suck now.

I do still have a reel-to-reel though haha

Rugged ridge one in my opinion is a slick and beefy support.

And for those of you under 25 years old. Below is a picture of a cassette (yes I had VH 5150) you played it in a car cassette stereo (this was model I had in my 86 Monte Carlo). To play a CD you needed a cassette adapter plugged into your CDman. I know, real dark ages stuff. Next week we will review the rotary telephone

My first car had an 8 track player in it. I borrowed a few of my mom's 8 tracks to play in it because I couldn't afford cassettes yet

I found a knockoff version of the Mopar one. So far it hasn't left my 37" spare on the side of the road!
