Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the 2.7 the Motor in the Focus RS that was blowing up around 60K mi? Someone mentioned it earlier in this thread. Honestly, they might have been better going with the Eco-Boost V6 in the F150.
The 2.7 is a V6. And no, there isn’t a big problem with ford ecoboost engines blowing up. The Focus has the 2.3 and that motor is terrific. The bronco will get the 2.3 and the bigger 2.7 V6. Or maybe it won’t. Both engines are terrific though.

Ford has a lot riding on this ; their stock is down to record lows ( before Corona virus) they need a mega hit to pull them out of the doldrums. Timing is Everything, and their timing couldn't be worse. The epidemic is shaping up to be a Pandemic, jobs and the economy are going to take a hit. People might consider $30,000 and up vehicles just too expensive for the new economic climate , new territory for everyone. Making History isn't what it's cracked up to be...
You might be on to something. The markets have taken a serious beating the last couple of days.

I bet whichever engine they put in it. The doors and tops won’t leak. If Jeep doesn’t fix the leaky door and top seals the bronco will take over. Most of the people I know only drive their jeeps to work and around town. They like taking the top off and occasionally the doors. If ford can accomplish this with no leaks, Jeep is going to have competition.

I believe you're thinking of the F-150 Tremor mule
https://www.autoblog.com/2020/02/24/ford-bronco-raptor-mule-spied/

I don't believe that this is a mule for the F150. Even though it is based on the F150. If that makes sense. I can't see any market for a standard cab short bed truck. Everyone has come to expect that trucks have room behind the seats for kids, tools, groceries, etc. The only standard cab truckstthat are really being sold are in fleet.

So I agree with the writer of this article, that this mule will be for a SUV, and will likely be called Bronco. And it clearly is not the Bronco that we have seen thus far.

There are 2 Broncos, the Big, and the Baby . The Baby is the 2/4 door, I believe, the one aimed at the Wrangler , the Big is the Grand Cherokee 4 Dr SUV type.

So Ford has a locking transfer case option in addition to locking front and rear diffs...thoughts?

As a JK owner seems pretty slick.

Having the front, rear and center locker would be a step in the right direction for sure!

The reveal is within the next 30 days so it’s gonna be close. Traffic will go up closer to the reveal I’m sure.

Yes, that is what I was tracking as well. But this mule is much larger than the 2/4 door, and looks based on the F150. So there may be a 3rd Bronco of some sort in development. I highly doubt that they will be testing the Tremor on a standard cab short bed.

The regular Bronco will be based off the Ranger platform, the Baby Bronco will be called the Bronco Sport and is based off of the Escape.
So... boxed frame for the Bronco and unibody for the Sport is what this says to me.
