I've replaced the bulbs in my turn signals and running lights with LEDs. To do this, there are several plastic pop rivets that must be replaced. New pop rivets came in the kit but they are too big to fit the 'normal' pop rivet tool I have. Does anyone know where to get a tool that can be used to install these? They have a diameter of about 1/8" or about 4 mm.

You may not need a tool. If you have an extra rivet, you can try this:

1. Break/trim off the long part of the rivet that would get pushed in if you were using a tool. Save this piece.
2. Use a pick or a very small object to push the remaining bit of plastic out of the rivet.
3. Push the rivet into the fender hole.
4. Take the long piece you broke off earlier and insert it into the rivet. You should be able to get everything to hold.
5. If need be trim off any excess.

Thanks! I have a rivet tool but it doesn't handle rivets this thick. I'll try David's solution and if that doesn't work, I'm off to Harbor Freight.
