I have the 2 door hard top and am going to do some rough camping this summer, so I will need the hard top because of the roof rack(minus the snow), but.....

For the rest I'd the time, I would like to either go topless or have a soft top on but it seems like a fair amount of work and time to remove the soft top and putting it back on.

So I was looking at getting a vinyl sun shade, windbreaker and tonneau cover.

Are any of you sporting these? How do you like it? Any pics? What brands?

This doesn't exactly answer your question. What it does is permit easier removal and replacement of your hard top, even when away from home.

I don't know if this works on the JL...although it probably does.

Personally, I'm not drilling 10 holes in my JL roof to install the rails that are certainly going to rust away exposed to the elements up there. I certainly wouldn't trust it to hold my roof up like that while I was away from it. Unless you're in the middle of no where, alone, then this does nothing 2 people couldn't do.

I agree. It's not for me. But if you want to take your top off at the campsite, but have it available during a trip where inclement weather may arise, and four hands aren't available, it might be for you.

I'll add to your critique that cranking each side up appears to be a bit of a pain.
