My wheels are 17x9.5 with 4.5" backspace with -18 offset. I have no rubbing right now after removing my front bumper end-caps. If I move to the Patagonia 37s or 38, what do I need to watch out for from a rubbing perspective? Is anyone running a setup like this?

Basically, can I just go to discount tire and get the larger tires, or should I go to a jeep shop, pay more for the tires and have them look for rubbing and then address?

You can just go have your tires put on, you might have to get rid of some plastic inner fender, but if you’re running the right amount of bump stop, you should be fine. I’m on 3.5 rk lift with 37s with 4.5” backspace -12 offset and there’s no rubbing. I also have artec inner fenders. But when I had factory inners I only rubbed in back of rear tires. Very minimal though.

How much bump stop are you running?

I’m running 2” in front, and 3” in rear, if I ran 2” in the rear the driveshaft would hit the gas tank. You can see how close it is with 3” in pic......
