I still think the fender vent should be deleted rather than accentuated.
The fender vents were placed to help with "hood-flutter" that was a problem/complaint with the JKs at higher speeds.

Why not ? Other car companies charge for trim all the time. Chevy charges like $500 for red seat belts, $500 for red calipers on the C8. Porsche and Ferrari would get a lot more then that. lol. Personally I feel the Recon a nice package and good value for anyone who likes and wants the extra options it has. I say live and let live. It's great to have choices. Everyone can pay for and buy what they want.
I configured what I want with the Recon, 2.0, and 3.6. The Recon was only around $300 more than the 2.0 and includes the rails and other goodies that are things I would want to get anyways.

Unfortunately, my only color is no longer available so I’m stuck.

Removed the Wrangler sticker below the Jeep emblem and added the subdued American Flag nearly 2 years ago. Sourced on etsy.

Jeep filling in the entire indent is interesting. Not sure how I feel about the red outline. And as for being a Recon... Why the Sahara sills?

It's the best deal if you want the upgrades.

Oh no, what color did you lose???

Punk’n. The only color for me. I’m hoping that I can find one that can be transferred to me. I already emailed Stericycle asking how quickly I can get one. I need my Punk’n

Weird, the side vent graphic was originally solid flat black, then nothing, now 'flag version. Someone upstairs must've said the Jeep graphics weren't 'MURICA! enough!

Me as well, I recently spent some time in 2.0L eTorque Jl's at Winter Jam. If you're interested in seeing that video, it's on my YouTube channel.

-Steven

Great video! Utah right? I have got to get out there, looks so fun.

I'm definitely excited for the e-torque and the overall Recon package. I'm ready, just waiting for April to place my order.

Thanks! Yes, Winter Jam sets up in Hurricane, and the trails are in Sand Hollow, Utah. It's a great event

Is April when the Recon orders can be submitted? I've been wondering about that.

I believe order opened this month.

April is my personal waiting period. I have a few things up in the air, including the possibility of making a long distance move.

If I don’t move, late April delivery date ensures I get through snow/salt season in the northeast so that I can receive it and protect it before it ever gets exposed. Hopefully I move and don’t even have to think about that.

Ahh, good to hear! As you can tell, I haven't visited the dealer(s) yet. I'm thinking the end of first quarter, beginning of second is best for me.
