I have just over 20k miles on 2018 JLU Sahara. 0 problems. Seems to run better everyday and loving every minute of it! Taking it in for 20k mile service soon and want to see what people recommend on having the steering damper replaced? I’m thinking NO since no probs but since I will already be there??

Topic has been beating to death when I searched for answer so figured this was easier.

Have been lurking since I got the Jeep in Feb2018 and love to read everything and all the banter. I have only posted 4 times in my life and only had one response so someone please respond.
Thanks

Leave it alone, sounds like you got one of the trouble free rigs, contrary to popular belief there are some out there, mine included.....:)

i've gotten the v41 recall too and havent had any steering issues. so i'm leaving mine alone for now. i'm going with the idea, "if it aint broken, dont fix it,"

Experienced the death wobble a couple of time and put a Nexus 2.2 stabilizer on and nothing since. Should have asked Jeep for the replacement and try and sell it...oh well

Thanks for all the feedback. Really appreciate it. Feels good when someone responds. Ha
Might start posting more. Wife making fun of me because this is my first attempt at social media
Still leaning against the customer satisfaction recall now that I have read the letter again. Optional
Not broke, don’t fix it.
Can always get it done if I do have problems

I had no steering issues but got the recall done anyway. I still have no steering issues but have a little more peace of mind.
