Hello. For the tail lights, you will not need any codes or re-flashing, as long as you have the LED wire harness.
My local dealership tech tried to re-flash the headlight codes and was not able to fix the flickering and hi/low problems so we created the JL LED adapters shown above. Now you no longer need to go to dealer for re-flash, just plug in our adapters and tap into the cigar fuse(very easy, everything included) and the headlights and halos will work like factory.

Please feel free to PM for any assistance or advice regarding the LED conversions.

Hey guys,

To recap, I have an 18 Rubicon that did not come with the LED Group. First I installed the steel bumper with the OEM LED fogs and had no issues at all. A week later I installed the OEM LED blinkers/drl and had the passenger led go out once, but no other issues other than that in a week. I just installed the OEM LED headlights using @JLEEPER 's harness. The harness worked perfect, every function of the headlight (running halo, high beams, etc.) works flawlessly, and I have not had any reflashings done yet. So I can now endorse his harness.

However, my LED blinkers are acting like complete assholes now. Everything works as it should until I use the blinkers. Then all hell breaks loose. The headlights and fog lights still work and retain all their functions, but if you activate the right blinker, the right white led goes out and the the blinker blinks 3 times then has about a 4 second delay and then blinks 3 more times and so on and so forth. Sometimes it doesn't blink at all. From then on, the white led will only work in DRL mode. If the headlights come on, the right white led goes out. Driver's is still on. I also get hyperflashing on my blinker indicator, but only the passenger side,

And then I hit the hazards, and it seemed like both the orange and white led's on both sides were just blinking randomly. Just random flashes of white and orange. Keep in mind the headlights and fogs are working perfectly the whole time. Then when I restart the car, the process repeats. Everything is fine until the first blinker use.......

And just to confirm, my a-pillar and bumper lights work as they should and have no effect on any other lights. They are wired through the factory auxiliary switches.

I'm hoping this is something the dealers flash will fix, going to ask my dealer if they can do that tomorrow.. Can anyone confirm the dealers can now flash the turn signals?

Update:

So after a day or two with my crazy blinkers, I received and installed the OEM LED tail lights . Now everything, including the DRL/blinkers work perfectly. I'm not even going to try to understand this haha.

Just wanted to chime in, I have a 2018 Rubicon I just got as a new vehicle a few weeks ago. It did not come with the LED group or the steel bumpers. I installed the front steel bumper, which came with the OEM LED fog lights, a few weeks ago. Last night, I installed the OEM LED DRL’s/blinkers. The bumpers and fender LEDs were all used takeoffs. Fingers crossed and knock on wood, but I have had absolutely no issues with flickering or warning lights, or anything else. Everything works as supposed to, the DRL's work, the blinkers work, and everything was plug-n-play, meaning all the electrical connectors were the same. And I have not had my Rubi re-flashed for LED's.

I have the OEM LED headlights sitting in my living room waiting for @JLEEPER's harness, and will update you as soon as I get them installed.

Thanks man, they are the 05672 driving lights. They aren’t as bright as a light bar, but I was going for that classic Jeep 2 round lights and a hoop look.

Has anyone installed the Mopar LED lights on their '18 JLU Sport? I was wondering, if I install these on mine if the halo running lights would work.
I don’t think Mopar has them for the sport models yet.

You can get some takeoffs or new. They work great! You need 2 things

1) halo harness to get power to the halos. There are a couple options out there but I recommend @EgGreg 's.

2) Not 100% necessary but some folks get flickering. So to avoid that get your dealership to flash and/or do yourself via tazor. I went the dealership route. @EgGreg has the codes you need.

Cheers!

Just finished installing LED HL to replace 19 OEM halogen headlamps. Used harness from JLeeper works perfectly. Installed just as instructed
Highly recommend www.headlamphaven.com

I have tried the high beams against the wall and compared to a JLUR with high beams against the wall. I can confirm that in my case:

1) The low beams are turning off when I turn on the high beams and this should not happen.
2) Both the low and high are on for a split second as it switches from low to high.

i'm no mechanic but this makes me think it has something to do with the switch. Perhaps its a setting or perhaps you need a different switch for it to function properly.
I am still taking the time reading through all of this thread but did you solve this issue with your low beams cutting out when you turn on the high beams? I just did a swap and have the same thing going on

Quick tazer settings change and all is well

Has anyone tried using the JSCAN app for enabling the factory LED headlight and halos after installing the mopar kit? I read of some success with fender lights elsewhere but curious of headlights too. Much cheaper than a tazer and i like the idea having a better visual interface than the Tazer.

I used JSCAN to enable factory LED fog lights when I swapped bumpers and it worked fine. I plan to use it again when I install LED headlights to match the fogs.

Cool. I think I’ll give it a try.
