The first independent dyno figures are in for the 2.0L Turbo Jeep Wrangler JL. Cooling products maker Mishimoto threw their 2.0L JL onto a DynoJet dyno to see how much actual power it puts down.
The highest run recorded resulted in 227 WHP / 264 WTQ (numbers produced at the wheels). The 2.0L turbo Wrangler is rated at 270 HP / 295 LB-FT from the factory so the 227 WHP represents a 15% drivetrain loss and also shows that the factory torque figure is underrated.
They also managed to run a 3.6L V6 JL Wrangler on the same DynoJet. The WHP results between the 2.0L turbo and 3.6L V6 were very close! Check out the full results and details inside.
