That's the way I read it. And only for 2018-2020 models, which makes it sound like they've fixed it since then...So, basically, all they would be paying for is the cost of replacing the stabilizer...?
Same thought. And does taking them up on this "deal" leaving you hanging in the dust later down the road? Solid front axels have had this issue for years and years. My 1965 CJ had a problem at one time and I just fixed it. Seems like the "world owes me everything" crowd is looking for a payoff for a thing that has always been an issue. My 1976 F250 even had problems with "death wobble" at one time. So, basically, all they would be paying for is the cost of replacing the stabilizer...?
Totally! That’s the way every class action settlement works!!Yup, typical class action settlement- we get a free POS $60 damper and the lawyers walk away with $3.95 million.
Yup. And we all have to pay for the settlement when we buy a new Wrangler.Same thought. And does taking them up on this "deal" leaving you hanging in the dust later down the road? Not sure I follow the "attract new customers" thing. It's really nothing more than saving 40 cents here and 40 cents there, and producing a sub standard product. This lawsuit will cost Stellantis probably around $ 5 million. What did they save in the end? Not much, but succeeded in pissing off a lot of customers.Yup. This is partly the result of FCA setting out to attract new customers into the Jeep brand.
New customers to Jeep + shitty steering = class action suit. Not sure I follow the "attract new customers" thing. You should be able to redeem it for your $25.Got my postcard with the class action info in the mail today.
My father owned a garage for over 60 years. Cars with IFS can have this issue too but maybe due to deterioration of a different component.Solid front axles have had this issue for years and years.
