Although 35″ tires fit on a stock JL Wrangler Rubicon without a lift required, most owners upgrading to 35″+ tires have installed a lift kit at the same time.

The upsized tires are well handled by the factory hi-line fenders, 4:10 gears and Dana 44 axles. Of course, those with more hardcore rock crawling aspirations will also want to install a lift kit for even more flex clearance.
