The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Diesel is now available for ordering and its upgrade price has been revealed to be $6,000 ($4,000 for the 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel engine and $2,000 for the beefed up 8 Speed Auto 8HP75 transmission). This pricing represents just a $3,250 premium over the price of the 3.6L Pentastar + Auto Transmission combination. As a sample build, this spec’d out Rubicon Diesel runs about $59-60k MSRP.
The 3.0D Wrangler Diesel will only be available with the new 8 speed auto transmission and features 442 lb-ft torque, 260 hp, standard ESS, 3.73 axle ratio (4.10 for Rubicon diesel), Dana D44 axles front and rear and 18 gallon fuel tank. No towing numbers have been announced yet and EPA MPG numbers are not yet finalized.
