Added photos of JL Sport with Hardtop. This particular prototype features international bumpers (i.e. a higher front bumper which meets the fender), making this likely to be the export diesel model.

We now give you the best look yet at the JL Wrangler Rubicon 2-door with soft top.

Seen are the exposed door pull handles, door hinges, vented hood and hood bumpers, hi-line painted fender flares and revised Rubicon wheels. As with other prototypes, this JL Rubicon wears a revised bumper and taped-up grille.

In the rear the tail lights, spare tire mount and bumpers are fully exposed.

Is it me or does the rear fender flare look smaller than the JK?

This also has the "Hi-Rise" fender flares. So....I am wondering now if all of the JL Rubicons will get these as a standard?

Any speculation on why they have the front grill completely taped up??

I got to be honest there's something about it I'm not liking but can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's just the camo throwing me off.

The front bumper doesn't look right. At all. Nothing AEV can't handle though...

I admittedly have not looked closely at the wrangler soft tops in the years since I bought my 2010, so this may not be new, but one thing I noticed on this compared to mine is the way the side windows actually wrap around to the back, as opposed to zippering up on the side of the vehicle. Is this new? Assuming it is, what can we make of it? Is this similar to any of the better after market options?

The question that arises is if we are looking at the real production soft top, or if this is a makeshift camo soft top to save the real thing for launch. The fit and finish definitely looks "off" and the roofline bends down towards the back end. It looks a lot tighter/fitted than any JK soft top I've seen.

LOVE the paint matched flares, and Hi-line just made the top of my want list. It's gotta be a Rubicon Fo Sho now (JL or JT) to get the 33's, wider axles, baby lift, Hi-line fenders, etc.

Very weird looking soft-top.

It gas hinges at the top of the rear window and appears to have spot for washer fluid nozzle but no coresponding wiper below. Are they using cross-matched parts from the hard-top not fully baked.

The panels all tuck in, not zipper, and they got rid of the rear main zipper point just flowing around the edge and tucking in behind the rear window.
And the top of the rear window tuck under a new flap which may be separate fron the sides leaving a jolly style single piece top once the panels are removed.

Definitely has the potential for easier removal and folding without that 6 inch canvas pillar on each side, but can you stil remove the back segment independantly for air-flow of does that untuck the side panels? Without the zippers and velcro, no way to create small side vents when driving like you can now by unzipping and bunching up the velcro to make a ripple-vent.

Also the fit with the tailgate doesn't seem snug/secure and semms to bow inwards, like when you don't have the support crossmember in place on the current JK.

Also looks like the rear camera has a tab (with hex bolt) for easy gripping when removing.

Those also look like different wheels than have been shown on the other Rubicon pictures. These look like the AEV Borah type design.
