Here's the Granite 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Sahara with Power Sliding Soft Top revealed at the LA Auto Show.
For those who’d rather not fuss with manually removing freedom top panels and hard tops (and store them) but want to experience open-air driving at the touch of a button, the Power Top is your solution. As our videos below show, with the touch of a button in the overhead console, the soft roof top slides back to expose the entire top of the passenger cabin (front and rear). The sliding top can be stopped in any position along the way.
For an even more open-air experience, the side window panels also remove easily by simply operating four handles (two for each panel). Unfortunately the rear window is not designed to be removed. But, the doors certainly are, so with the PowerTop you can still have a nearly completely open experience (except the rear window).
And if having the PowerTop frame structure and rear window in place is still too not open enough for you, we’ve learned from Jeep that the entire top is fully removable, although Jeep recommends that it stay installed because the sliding rails could be difficult to line up upon reinstallation.
Anyways, enough words, check out the PowerTop in action below!
