FCA invited a group of select Jeep dealers to a private meeting this week to learn about the 2018 Wrangler (JL). An anonymous source has provided JLWF with info that FCA confirmed at the meeting.

- Production models arrive at dealerships approximately mid-late December 2017
- No more 2-door JL Sahara trim
- Updated 3.6L Pentastar V6 Manual Transmission (standard), 3.6L Automatic (optional)
- 2.0L DOHC Turbo Automatic Transmission (standard), No manual option

- Power sliding hard top (PSHT) - late 2018MY availability

- Manual lumbar support adjustment
- Lug tool is now in metric
- Most current (JK/JKU) aftermarket parts will fit the new model
- Spare tire will be mounted 3-4 inches lower to improve rear visibility
