Definitely do Hurricane Creek. It’s the closest to you and a beautiful trail that time of year. Dumps out to Max Patch which is a great little hike on the Appalachian trail.
mesaage me once you have dates. I can probably get a group together to take you through it.
Been through this. Pulled the carpet, shampooed it by hand, and reinstalled. Took a full day. No skunky smell, but the new car smell was gone.
Armorlite is on my list for future mods.
Same. I had frame-mounted sliders on my Sport and then loosened up a little and flexed into the body. I had a lot of damage like that.
For my Rubicon I went ahead and got the rocker guards and step from Motobilt.
I paid $40k for my Rubicon. A manual Rubi transfer case is about $2k and makes a huge difference.
So it's about a wash pricewise. I think a base Sport there may be some savings. But to each his own. Nice Jeep!
Did you upgrade the transfer case? What gears are you running? Did you get the HD brakes? Did you do the mods yourself? Start with a Sport or Sport S?
Every scenario is a little different but I figure it would cost about $6k-$7k to get from a Sport to a Rubicon.
Everything above is true:
- Up to 37s, you are clearly better off starting with a Rubicon
- Above 37s it depends on the details of your build, how diligent you are selling take-offs, and how much of the wrenching you will do yourself. But there are definitely builds that could start with a...
I agree. It's not authentic. I don't mind people customizing their Jeeps however they want, even if its a style that I hate. It's their Jeep. But this is different.
I had a great experience with @Discount Tire . Both on the forum and my local shop were great. They price-matched everything, gave me discounts, and provided great service. I will always use them from now on.
I use an OCD console organizer to make it more usable.
The biggest issue is lack of a good place to keep your phone. I keep mine plugged into the console in the OCD tray. That way there are no cords. It would be better to have a wireless charger and wireless CarPlay. I get kind of tired of...
The last post pretty much said it.
Rubicon suspension with 33s is just right with a sport. Feels a little different but not worse.
anything more than 33s on a Sport is a different conversation…
I’ve been where you are. I got the Rubicon.
for 35s honestly you don’t need the Extreme Recon. 4.10 gears are fine even with the manual. You are getting Beadlock capable wheels with that which are nice but there are cheaper options.
you can get $1200 for your rubicon takeoffs and apply to...
