  1. Terrain course at Toledo plant for JL Wrangler launch

Can't wait! It'd be cool if they have the first JL roll off the line and drive it straight out the plant to climb some hills.
  2. Unwrapped 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU from production plant!

I remember we had some fun with this thing back in March @ http://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/jl-marketing-stunt-at-toledo-plant.1125/ Did someone at the plant confirm it's actually a JLU under there? We were thinking it's just a JKU covered to generate some buzz for the upcoming JLU.
  3. Tipster says 6 engines and several top options for 2018 Wrangler JL / JLU

Question for @Milous and the panel: what are the chances the diesel comes stateside mid model year 2018, or does this mean it will be earliest 2019+ Based on the info thread the 2018 JL will be a full length model year production so it'll be a long wait until September/October 2018.
  4. First Look: Production Interior of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU!

I don't think you can make that statement by just looking at an image. None of us have even sat in this interior or felt the materials. If I had to guess I would guess the plastics have been upgraded and are harder and more resilient than ever. I'd be surprised if they downgraded the materials...
  5. JL marketing stunt at Toledo plant?

You're probably right. Well it's working so far lol. (Or maybe it's some final JK edition to send it off...)
  6. JL marketing stunt at Toledo plant?

Found this photo apparently taken right in front of the JEEP sign outside of the Toledo plant. There's a Jeep right next to the JKU that's completely covered. Possible JLU to start the hype machine?
  7. JL/JLU wrangler length / size

To compensate they could raise the car and/or fit bigger tires to help maintain the break over angle. Not sure I've noticed the prototypes riding significantly higher but this site confirmed bigger Rubicon tires (almost 33's).
  8. 2018 Wrangler Drops Camo, Shows Backup Camera, Roofline, Grab Handles, Signs of Foldable Windshield

I believe Milous confirmed this is a Sahara so we may be seeing a different hood across the board. The Hard Rock dome is much more subtle. A bump like that seems more along the lines of the AEV heat reduction hood.
  9. Which JL engine are you most interested in?

A $4000 upgrade will absolutely be a deal killer for most people and exactly why they should offer it on the base trim IMO. I'm going to assume the premium is mostly profit for FCA and they will want to sell as many diesels as possible.
  10. Verified: Engine Start-Stop (ESS) Standard on 3.6L Pentastar 2018 Wrangler Engine

Engine has not reached normal operating temperature. Battery temperature is too warm or cold. Battery charge is low. A few items on this list do make me worry about longevity. That the system is actually taxing the engine/battery more than it needs to be, causing more wear and tear quicker.
  11. Which JL engine are you most interested in?

I give Jeep a lot of credit offering 3 engine choices in this day and age but a big question for me is whether all 3 will be available on all trims and different packages. I'd probably go with the regular Sport to save on the added cost of the diesel IF they even offer that pairing.
  12. Which JL engine are you most interested in?

Selling the 3.6 Pentastar as a more expensive option is not going to fly imo. I'm betting the 4 cyl will cost more due to better torque and mpg and in a few years replace the V6 completely. That seems to be the trend.
  13. What color do you want for your JL/JLU/JT?

I saw a Hydro Blue JK on the road recently and it looks amazing in the sunlight. Like an electric blue. Much better than the new blue they are offering on the 2017 which is more teal colored. I hope they bring back it back or a similar color.
  14. 2018 Wrangler Drops Camo, Shows Backup Camera, Roofline, Grab Handles, Signs of Foldable Windshield

Where else would you place the backup camera? With so many people removing the top and replacing bumpers, the only area for it to be usable is in the middle of the spare. I'm guessing it would just be a bracket on the tailgate like on some of the JK aftermarket rear camera mounts
